NFL Playoffs 2020: Conference Championship Betting Predictions

Nick Rodriguez    Nick Rodriguez     January 16, 2020

Just four teams remain in the hunt for the Super Bowl as Kansas City host the Tennessee Titans and the 49ers entertain the Green Bay Packers.

Football fans can look forward to a super double-header on Sunday with a place at Super Bowl LIV up for grabs.

AFC Championship Game: Tennessee Titans vs Kansas City Chiefs

The AFC Championship game kicks of proceedings at Kansas’ Arrowhead Stadium. This is the second time in a three year span that these two have met each other in a playoff game. Titans got the better of the Chiefs that time round in a tight 22-21 wild card game.

Titans made light work of Baltimore Ravens in the last round to secure their place in the AFC Championship game. Baltimore who were undefeated since September 29 and had not scored fewer than 20 points all season. Tennessee will be full of confidence going into this game and will fancy their chances of booking their place in the Super Bowl for the first time since 1999.

Kansas City Chiefs go into the AFC Championship game as favorites and have been on the shortlist all season for a Super Bowl triumph largely due to their roster and the supreme talent of Patrick Mahomes who won last season’s MVP award.

Chiefs will want to hope their slow start to their game against Houston Texans was a one off as Kansas found themselves 24-0 down by the second quarter before rallying back to secure a convincing 51-31 victory.

Tennessee Titans v Kansas City Chiefs: Points Spread, Moneyline Odds, Betting Markets

Kansas City go into this game as heavy favorites at -350 in the moneyline, while Titans are out at +750. The point spread currently stands at -7.5 for Kansas City Chiefs.

Kansas City showed signs of weakness with their lacklusture start last time out and there is certainly value in backing Titans +7.5

NFC Championship Game: San Francisco 49ers vs Green Bay Packers

Green Bay entered the playoffs in superb form, winning their last five games of the regular season to top the NFC North and secure their place in the divisional round where they met the Seattle Seahawks.

Aaron Rodgers was in great form, in particular on third down to deliver a 28-23 victory for his team. Rodgers will now look to bring home a first Super Bowl win for the Packers for a decade.

If a place at the Super Bowl wasn’t enough, this match-up is also one of NFL’s biggest rivalries and that will add even greater significance to this game.

49ers were the top seeded team going into the playoffs and arguably boast the best defense in the league and there is no doubt at all that the 49ers will prove stiffer opposition than Seattle for the Packers.

San Francisco 49ers vs Green Bay Packers: Points Spread, Moneyline Odds, Betting Markets

San Francisco go into the game as favorites at -290, while the Green Bay Packers are rated underdogs at +230. The point spread currently stands at -7 for the 49ers.
